Tweeters,
Anyone out there (Steve, Phil, et. al., on the bird records committee)
know the answer to Jim Peters' question as to whether or not the two
Pink-footed Geese were accepted as "legitimate sightings"? (Note: Jim
snapped an incredibly clear photo, of which I have an electronic copy,
of these two birds in flight.)

Thanks,
Denis

Dear Denis,

Two years ago you were a big help to me in planning a fall trip to
bird the Seattle area. While I was there i saw the Pink-footed
Geese near Ocean Shores--I forget the name of the refuge where they
were hanging out for a while in November. Do you know if these
birds were ever officially accepted as legitimate sightings? I hope
you don't mind my asking, but i am very curious.

Thanks,

Jim Peters
