ELWAS is offering a Spring Birding class for beginners. This class is
being taught by Mike West a Master Birder and a great teacher. So if you
are new to this wonderful hobby think about signing up.

Spring Birding for Beginners on May 5, 2005

The world of birds has them all ? and more ? especially in the spring
breeding and nesting season!! Join us for three classes and two field
trips. Expand those ?gray cells,? and make new friends J. Who knows ?
you just might discover a new ?passion!?

Relaxed, informal classes cover the basics of bird identification,
birding etiquette and ethics, equipment selection, field guides and
local birding areas. Spring migrants and breeding birds of Washington
will be emphasized.

DATES: (3) Thurs. 5-5, Tues. 5-10 & Thurs. 5-12 6:30?9:00 P.M. (classes
only)

Sat 5-7 or Sun 5-8 (morning only field trip ? ? class goes each day)

Sat 5-14 or Sun 5-15 (all day field trip to East. Wash. ?? class goes
each day)

LOCATION: ELWAS office: 308 ? 4th Ave S. ? Kirkland (classes only)
(lower level of Northlake Universalist Unitarian Church ? enter on State
Street)

COST: $95 (ELWAS members) $120 (non-members ? chapter membership is $25)
