- 3ft; 16:16 high tide - 9 ft)
11:48 end

Tweeters,
Haze-gray cloudy sky, and slight northerly, but cool, air at Turning
Basin #3. I guess all the warm air must be further to the east because
it's downright chilly here. The relative cold didn't keep the two guys
with their three dogs from venturing out on the mudflats of the
restoration peninsula. The actions of the dogs (and their owners) kept
all the gulls away from their normal loafing area, as well as pretty
much clamped down on other bird activity there. Only the Red-winged
Blackbirds were active at that site.

At the Hamm Creek Osprey nest, the female wasn't initially on the nest
when I ventured outside, but was there later. It looks as if a full
clutch still hasn't been laid.

I've not seen the "crane-boom" Osprey for two days, and it may be that
that isn't going to be a nest this year, despite the initial attempt at
dropping some building material there.

Birds seen during this scan include the following

Canada Goose (5)
Mallard (2)
Bufflehead (6)
Double-crested Cormorant (3)
Great Blue Heron (flying relatively high, heading downriver)
Osprey (2)
Killdeer (2)
Mew Gull (23)
Glaucous-winged Gull (12)
Rock Pigeon (26)
American Crow (5)
Bewick's Wren
American Robin (2)
European Starling (12)
Song Sparrow (3)
Red-winged Blackbird (3)
House Finch (4)
House Sparrow (4)

May all your birds be identified,
