Hi Tweeters, this is my first posting so bear with me. On tuesday April 19th in the evening I did a little birding trip from my home in Milton-Freewater, OR, about 10 miles south of Walla Walla, Wa Driving on Steen Road, about a mile from M-F, I saw 5 Western Kingbirds, including one with a beautiful yellow belly. I also saw 3 White Crowned Sparrows.
I then drove to Bennington Lake, a few miles east of Walla Walla, and saw 2 Osprey, I was probably 30 feet from one of the Ospreys and got a beautiful view through my binoculars! There were also Mourning Doves, Mallards and a Douglas Squirrel perched in a tree in a most unusual way! On my way home, I stopped outside of the park and watched a Belted Kingfisher do his thing with a pretty sunset in the background.
