While working in the field on the Waterville plateau west of Heritage Rd (L
NE), north of Hwy.2, we observed the first Grasshopper Sparrow I had seen
this year. I'm on this area aboutdaily, so they likely just arrived last
night or so. Good looks, should be many more to come, they are fairly common
in this area.
