Subject: [Tweeters] Nice morning at Juanita Bay

among the more interesting sights at JBP the past few days has been a Common
Loon, on its own, literally orbiting (on the water) the osprey pole at a
distance never wider than about 100 metres from the pole...

i have no idea why this bird is alone, nor why it has insisted on being
within that area for at least three days... during most of the afternoon,
its beak was open as if it were panting...

i apologize in advance for the quality of the photos, as it was late
afternoon and the bird was (unfortunately) directly between myself and the
bright yellow thing that flies across the sky once in a while.. :) for
those still interested, please check out my website in the Photo of the
Month section...

also included in the same section is Juanita Bay's own partial-albino
Red-winged Blackbird, and photos taken during recent visits to Paul Dye's
Northwest Wildfowl, including Muscovy, White-Faced Whistling Duck, Sandhill
Crane, Mandarin Duck, Red-breasted Goose, and Grey-bellied Brant...

LASTLY, one of the birds at Northwest Wildfowl went unidentified... as poor
a picture as it is, it was a beautiful bird... if anyone knows "who is
this?", please let me know... i would love to photograph this beauty
without fencing some day... for that matter, i'd love to photograph ANY
beautiful thing without fencing some day... (grin)

thank you :)
