Dewhere?? Mason County, along Hood Canal...
I headed to Dewatto to do a little non-birding-oriented (Great Peninsula
Conservancy) volunteer job, these are the birds I saw/heard while not really
birding, and looking for where I was s'posed to be:
Common Loon
Ring-necked Duck
(shouldn't both these guys be gone by now??)
GB Heron
Gull sp
Belted Kingfisher
Killdeer
Am Crow
Red-tailed Hawk
Bald Eagle
No. Flicker
Pileated Woodpecker
Winter Wren
Song Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco (a really pale male)
Am Robin
R-w Blackbird
O-c Warbler
Y-r Warbler
Pacific Slope Flycatchers in abundance! (early for these guys, right?)
That's all I can remember. Gee, I wonder how many species I would've picked
up had I Really been birding?
Cheers,
Mary
