Just a couple of birds of note on this warm spring morning. First of all in
my backyard this morning an aggressive Hammond's Flycatcher showed up with a
flock of Ruby-crowns, but didn't tolerate any other birds near it. Later on
in the morning along the Foothills Trail I noted the presence of several
expected new migrants-- Cassin's Vireo, Black-throated Gray Warbler, and
Pacific-slope Flycatcher. They were all acting as if they'd been present for
a couple days at least.
