Wayne and tweets,

I did a follow-up check this morning at Point no Point to see if there was
still a good movement of birds. I (along with Pipper and Doug Watkins) did
have a flock of Mountain Chickadees near the lighthouse. I estimated about
20 of them. There was still some overhead flights of Yellow-rumped Warblers
but no where near the numbers as yesterday. There was little to no wind this
morning.

I am guessing that yesterday's wind pattern had a great deal to do with my
observations. On the drive up yesterday the wind appeared to be out of the
south prior to reaching Point no Point. At the Point it was a fairly brisk
north wind. The migrating birds may have been "lowered" and slowed by this
wind. Perhaps Vic Nelson observes this event with some regularity. I'll have
to ask him!

I enjoyed a pair of Cinnamon Teals in the wet fields near the Driving Range
in West Kingston. I also heard my first Western Tanager of the season here.
