Greetings All,

I had a couple of hours to kill near Union on the Hood Canal this afternoon, so I checked some of my old haunts on the Skokomish Reservation. In one of the meadows I spotted my first COMMON YELLOWTHROAT of the season, which was nice, but the treat was a HAMMOND's FLYCATCHER high in a snag near one of the river channels. The raspy, two-note call leads me to pick Hammond's over Pac-Slope, but...I could be wrong! Let the season begin!!
