I know that songbirds fly and call at night during migration, and that
swallows twitter long before daylight, but I was surprised to step outside
at 1:00 AM and hear a beautiful White-crowned Sparrow song. This was in a
city (Mt Vernon) with street lights, and the moon was full. I wonder if
these are factors to induce night singing? Do you owlers hear songbirds
singing very often?
