I always get excited when I see a previously unseen (by me) bird for the first time and the past couple of days two Golden-Crowned Sparrows have been feeding - probaby on their way north.
Along with these the Goldfinches have arrived in the past week and two pairs of Rufous Hummingbirds. And then there is the thrill of hearing and seeing three or four Bald Eagles soaring over head. It's been a "wow" week for me with birds and I didn't have to go anywhere.
Hold those comments because - yes, I am easily delighted where birds are concerned!
