Sherry,
I've never seen a yellow one but the "Sibley Guide to Birds" on the bottom
of page 529 has an illustration of a House Finch yellow variant and says
"Occasional; most frequent in the southwest. Yellow variant is extremely
rare in Purple and Cassin's."

My sister in Spokane, WA sent me this photo of ONE of two Cassin?s
Finches coming to her feeder that is orange rather than the reddish color.
I have never seen them in this color before. I know and have seen House
Finches in all shades from pale yellow to orange to bright red but not
Cassin?s Finches.

Has anyone experience or knowledge in this area?
