Hi Tweeters;

Today I noticed a Red-breasted sapsucker vibrating it's body- I assume
in courtship display to its mate. I looked through eight different
books on bird behavior etc. to find a term that describes what I saw
and could find none. I've seen young birds flutter their wings in a
similar manner to beg for food. Does anyone know a term for this?
