As we were setting up for this weeks sheep dog herding trial in Smokey Point (just south of Arlington, WA), there were 9 TURKEY VULTURES circling and landing on the newly hayed and baled field. Previous to the vultures arriving, there were several bald eagles, but they left when the vultures arrived.

I know that they are not uncommon, but I have not seen them in this area before, so it was exciting!
