I sent that report without any explanation (I
fat-fingered a <return> before I was ready!)
Anyway, that was the report I sent to SDBIRDS as I
signed off there.
Some added info: Bob Miller and Bruce Aird are guides
with Southwest Birders (see their web page).
Bob is their local guide for the Imperial Valley and
the Salton Sea. And he is a FANTASTIC birder, and if
you are ever in the area, I highly recomend contacting
him. He is also into Dragonflies and Damselflies, and
I will compile another report later about what
fantastic species we saw!

I had a great time, and can recomend the area for its
fantastic birding opportunities, even if the traffic
was rather ugly. Volume of traffic was higher than
Seattle, but the roads were better designed (how NOT
;), and traffic MOVED! And I do mean MOVED. Average
speed on the freeways was about 75 MPH!
