As my 4 1/2 year-old daughter got up this morning, I
saw a large bird on the feeder outside the kitchen
window.
I told her that there was a bird out there, and picked
her up so she could see it, asking her what kind of
bird it was.
She took one look out the window, turned to me and
said "Pileated Woodpecker".

Is 4 1/2 too young to start her life list?
