Hey Tweets,

What's up with all these Solitary Sandpipers in one day? They are truly
"solitary", but it is amazing reports of different individuals come in on
the same day Not to be left out, the local Island birding contingent
enjoyed a juvenile Solitary Sandpiper at our little estuary at the south end
of the Island. In fact this afternoon, this little man-made estuary hosted
an adult Long-billed Dowitcher, two Semipalmated Plovers, and one juvenile
Semipalmated Sandpiper - all rare birds for Bainbridge Island. An estuary
created for salmon enhancement has been a nice benefit for migrating
shorebirds and those of us who like to observe them.

There was no sign of the Stilt Sandpiper at the Foulweather Bluff Nature
Preserve today. The Baird's Sandpipers at the Gorst Estuary, however, were
re-found today.
