Tweets,

On the way home from work this afternoon I was surprised when several
shorebirds flew in front of my vehicle along RD 'L' NE east of Moses Lake. I
quickly turned around and located the suspects in a flooded onion field.
There were 7 Solitary Sandpipers, 2 Spotted Sandpipers, 1 Pectoral
Sandpiper, 1 Western Sandpiper, 1 Wilson's Snipe, and several Killdeer
working the flooded field.
It was a lesson learned as I wondered how many shorebirds get passed by as
we busy ourselves getting from one place to another.
I will pay more attention to these types of seasonal habitats in the
future.

Cheers
