Sightings for Sunday, August 14

A TENNESSEE WARBLER was spotted at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary
in Delta, halfway along the north dyke.

At the Iona Island sewage ponds in Richmond were 2 STILT SANDPIPERS,
3 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS, 15 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS and a WILSON'S PHALAROPE.

A MARBLED GODWIT was along the Tsawwassen Ferry jetty and 2 BANK
SWALLOWS and 2 WILSON'S PHALAROPES were near the foot of 96th Street
on Boundary Bay, both localities in Delta.

An AMERICAN BITTERN was at Serpentine Fen in Surrey.


Saturday, August 13

2 WILSON'S PHALAROPES and 2 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS were at the
foot of 96th in Delta, while 100 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS were seen between
96th Street and 104th Street on Boundary Bay.


Friday, August 12

A SOLITARY SANDPIPER was seen on the Annacis Island wetlands
in Delta, just north of the sewage treatment plant.

4 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS were at Green Timbers Park in Surrey.

At 208th Street and 102D Avenue in North Langley were 2 SANDHILL
CRANES, 1 GREEN HERON and 1 BANK SWALLOW.

5 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were over 95th Avenue in North Delta.


Thursday, August 11

11 STILT SANDPIPERS were at Reifel, along with a SOLITARY SANDPIPER
and a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE.


Wednesday, August 10

9 STILT SANDPIPERS and 2 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS were at Reifel.


Sunday, August 7

A GREAT EGRET was seen at Reifel and off the foot of 96th in Delta.
Also at Reifel was an immature BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON.
