We also have one late Rufous. It looks like a juvenile male. He has been
hanging out for several days in the crocusmosia, beebalm and catmint as well
as feeding on fuchsias and nasturtiums. Another feast that they seem to
love is the elephant garlic flowers.
I pulled out the feeder again when he arrived but so far the flowers are far
more interesting.
I was wondering how these late juveniles find their way down south all by
their lonesome? Does anyone know?
