This morning I bird McCain's Potato Ponds and was excited the 10 stilt sandpipers and 17 semipalmated sandpipers. BUT I hit Lind Coulee, Potholes Res. (where Rd Mse meets the res.) and found a whopping 55 stilt sandpipers! I think there aliens in disguise.

If any of you want to study several plumages of stilt sandpipers I suggest Lind Coulee this weekend. I also found.

least sandpiper 18
western sandpiper 104
semipalmated sandpiper 12
Baird's sandpiper 11
long-billed dowitcher 12
spotted sandpiper 1
red-necked phalarope 25
lesser yellowlegs 1
pectoral sandpiper 1
solitary sandpiper 1

Also the 4 solitary sandpipers were still at Scabrock lake on Columbia NWR (Morgan Lake Rd cuts through the middle of the lake).
