Last week Herons Forever and the developer (Donald Merlino) reached a final settlement. He can move forward with his 65-house development now that he has agreed to significant additional conditions over and above those approved by the city council earlier this year. We hope we have achieved enough protection to save the Black River heron colony. Herons Forever agreed to drop our superior court appeal in exchange for these conditions. Word has it that this is one the most heavily conditioned subdivision around. Please write if you would like more information.
