Hello Tweets,

This afternoon we made a few stops in Kitsap Co. with a few notable shorebird accounts to report beginning during incoming tide at the Sinclair Inlet Estuary at Gorst. Shorebirds at this location included up to 58 Western Sandpipers and up to 5 Least Sandpipers,as well as a single Semipalmated Plover and Greater Yellowlegs. We decided to check few freshwater locations on our way home via Hwy. 16 beginning at Square Lake that produced 3 flyover Purple Martins, a single adult Spotted Sandpiper, an Osprey, 5 Wood Ducks and a distant calling Pileated Woodpecker. Our last stop of the afternoon was made at a drying lily pad-covered lake along Fagerud Rd. SE(accessed off of Nelson Rd. SE)that produced 2 Lesser Yellowlegs foraging with a loose flock of 8-10 Killdeer. This location is located east of Hwy.16 near the town of Burley.
