The two very late Great Blue Heron nests at Medina
Park are probably within a week or so of fledging.
There are six young herons total. Best viewing is on
the north side of the pond by the parking lot on NE
12th. The nests are in the fir trees beyond the south
edge of the pond. The tallest fir has 2 young herons
in the nest. To the right of this nest are some flat
topped firs where the second nest has 4 young, these
birds are all over the place now but still in the
vicinity of the nest. They don't want to miss the
food when it arrives.

Location NE 12th St and 84th Ave NE in Medina.
