Hello Tweets,

We have updated our recent photo gallery with 15 photos taken yesterday at Ocean Shores. These photos include both American and Pacific Golden Plovers photographed at separate locations,as well as a Turkey Vulture in flight and a juvenile Whimbrel that was very cooperative. Both golden plovers were very alert and didn't allow especially close approach,but are proof to species. We didn't want to get too close then have the birds fly off because of our efforts. We also heard both species of golden plovers in flight(which we don't always hear)and both calls sounded much different in overall tone,accent and quality.Our recent photos can be accessed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/august05photos/
