Greetings all
I birded today along the Foothills Trail from west of Crocker to the town of
South Prairie, a distance of about 6 miles. There were fewer birds in
general than there have been this past week, but I did find a classic
hatch-year Least Flycatcher about .5 mile west of South Prairie in willows
near an unmarked intersection. I studied the bird for about two minutes and
it called often. Also today there were again Solitary Sandpipers at the
"REI" wetland, where I have seen them each time I've been there since 13
August. Two of the birds today appeared to be cinnamomea, while the other
two were nominate solitaria.
