Hello, tweeters.

I've lived in Seattle for many years and never seen a Hairy Woodpecker
in the north part of the city. Just now an adult male came in and
landed on a suet feeder and began to chow down. This is basically a
nonmigratory species, but they obviously move around. We have flickers
and Downy Woodpeckers all the time and used to have Pileateds, but the
one or two that were around seem to have left. I've seen one
Red-breasted Sapsucker in the yard in 14 years.
