To add a bit to that, the port-o-let is relatively clean as far as those things go. Access is pretty reasonable, but don't walk into the yards - there is a place on the blacktop to stand and get great looks at the birdon the back of the house. I hope everyone respects the privacy of the good folks living there who just happen to have a spectacular monument of the north hanging out in their neighborhood. If we respect, they'll respect. While I was enjoying the Discovery Park Snowy Owl this morning, Penny

To see this Snowy Owl using a wheelchair, park at the South parking lot
in the disabled spots on the south end. There is an accessible
Port-O-Let at this location, although I did not check it. The hard
packed dirt trail next to the message board is wide and firm enough for
traction. Follow it as it curves to the right and take the 1st right
turn toward the little church with a steeple. Follow the blacktop road
toward the yellow houses and turn right on the blacktop road going
behind the houses. This road is used by the mail truck and is OK for
chair users to traverse according to park rangers. Proceed to the 2nd
yellow house with a dark gray roof to see the bird. The signs will warn
all but residents off the playground grass, however nearly a dozen
ambulatory birders used the road during the hour I observed the bird.

What a great gift for birders needing access to this fabulous Snowy Owl.
