Yet more SNOWY OWLS; today, there were two at the North Fork Access on
Fir Island, visible among the logs after a short walk down the dike from
the parking area. Another birder said there was another Snowy Owl at
the Hayton Preserve, but I had my fractious non-birding family in tow,
who, already having viewed the SNOW GEESE (also at the North Fork
Access), had no interest in backtracking, so I didn't go look for the
third owl.
