Some interesting birds around JBP yesterday and today. Margaret Saint Clair
reported a NORTHERN SHRIKE yesterday afternoon, 2nd record for the park;
this morning a MOURNING DOVE was perched in a tree in the middle of the
lawn...3rd park record; and the SWAMP SPARROW continues on the Fire Station
Road.

A few other species of interest for the morning:
TOWNSEND'S WARBLER - 1st winter male.
Yellow-rumped Warbler - several.
Hairy Woodpecker - a very vocal pair.
Varied Thrush - seen by Grace and Ollie Oliver.
Wood Duck - counted 38.

A very nice, if cold, morning. Still hoping one of the Snowy Owls might put
in an appearance.
