On 30 Nov Lisa Hardy found 2 LONG-TAILED DUCKS at the Page Ponds in Shoshone
Co ID.

Jane Grant reports 2 adult TRUMPETER SWANS have been present on the Royal
Slope area just NW of Royal Lake on the Columbia NWR in Grant Co WA since 26
Nov. The birds are along Road E SE. WA DeLorme 53, AB-5.5.

On 2 Dec Terry Little observed 2 nice flocks of AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS along
Coulee Hite Road south of US 2 in Spokane Co WA. The first flock of 20 was
at the corner of Coulee Hite and McFarland Road and another flock about 0.25
mile south of this spot right along Coulee Hite. WA DeLorme 88, CD-2.

SNOWY OWLS popped up in eastern WA. Don Grant reports a SNOWY OWL on 21 Nov
on an island just north of O'Sullivan Dam at Potholes Reservoir, Grant Co
WA. WA DeLorme 53, A-6. Another was spotted on 3 Dec by Michael and Roger
Woodruff along Detour Road, about 1 mile west of WA 231 about 1 mile south
of US 2, west of Reardan, Lincoln Co WA. Gina Sheridan and Harold and Karen
Cottet found another bird in the same general area on 3 Dec. This bird was
along WA 231 and viewed from Wendlandt Road. WA DeLorme 88, C-1.

SNOW BUNTINGS were found at several spots in eastern WA. Terry Little found
5 birds with Horned Larks along US 2 just past the airstrip on the west end
of Davenport, Lincoln Co WA on 2 Dec. Cindy McCormack and Theresa Mathis
found a flock of 20 buntings near the intersection of WA 23 and Star Barn
Road near Sprague Lake WA on 3 Dec.

On 4 Dec, John and Sue Rogers found a THAYER'S GULL at the Walla Walla River
Delta in western Walla Walla Co WA. The delta can be accessed 0.1 mile north
of Madame Dorian Park. There's a pull-out along US 12 at milepost 306.9 and
a path to the delta. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.

Cindy McCormack and Theresa Mathis found a female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER on
the Adams Co WA side of Sprague Lake on 3 Dec. Sprague Lake straddles the
Lincoln and Adams county line just south of I-90. WA DeLorme 71, BC-8.
