I was out briefly this afternoon and wanted to mention a few birds seen. There were 6+ American Tree Sparrows along Corfu Road about a mile south of SR 26, using the Russian-olive pile along the road. A Loggerhead Shrike was near the Adams-Grant County line along Lower Crab Creek Road; this is an area where loggerheads winter in small numbers although I have seen a few farther north this month also. A Prairie Falcon was at the corner of Road E SE and 15.1 SE, just west of Royal Lake. Another Prairie Falcon has been hanging out near the Para Ponds for several weeks. Earlier this week there were several Tricolored Blackbirds among the thousands of blackbirds foraging with the cattle at the feedlot.
