Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday December 7. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The FACATED DUCK continues to be seen at Coburg. On December 3 a BLUE JAY
was in Albany.

There are now our SNOWY OWLS at the South Jetty of the Columbia River and
one at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay. The Coos Bay bird was shot and the
Portland Airport bird was captured and relocated.

On December 1 a late COMMON YELLOWTHROAT was on the North Spit of Coos Bay.
A SNOW BUNTING, Several LAPLAND LONGSPURS and a SAY?S PHOEBE are also being
see there. On December 4 a NASHVILLE WARBLER was on the east side of Coos
Bay. A SNOW BUNTING and two LONG-TAILED DUCKS are now along the South Jetty
of Yaquina Bay. On December 6 a BLACK PHOEBE, a SWAMP SPARROW, and a SNOW
GOOSE were along Fenk Road near Tillamook. Two GLAUCOUS GULLS and a
LONG-TAILED DUCK are now at Seaside. On December 6 a flock of 10 ROCK
SANDPIPERS were at the South Jetty of the Columbia River.

A LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was seen December 4 at the Sandy River Delta. Another
was seen December 3 near Junction City. On December 6 a SNOW BUNTING and a
FERRUGINOUS HAWK were near Halsey. A FERRUGINOUS HAWK was seen November 27
near Eugene. On December 6 a SWAINSON?S HAWK was near Eugene. Up to 30
TOWNSEND?S WARBLERS were reported recently from a Eugene neighborhood. A
MOCKINGBIRD was in Eugene December 3.

Recently a white morph GYRFALCON has been seen near Sisters. A MEADOWLARK
was in Sisters December 5.
