Hi gang

I've been having some real ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD "wars" yesterday and today.
Three this morning fighting it out, adult male, adult female and a juv.
(could be more, but I can't tell.) The male is almost funny, displaying at
everything that flew, I was severely yelled at too. I actually had two
feeding at once a couple of times, but the "truces" lasted only a few seconds.

There were about 40 BRANT in the Sound off Meadow point at Golden Gardens
Park this morning, a few BUFFLEHEADS and BARROW'S GOLDENEYES, HORNED and
RED NECKED GREBES. In the pond were the usual Mallards and Am Wigeons and
about 12 NORTHERN SHOVELERS. There were HOODED MERGANSERS this week but not
this morning.

The pond is shaped like an 8 with a long leg on one end, like a pair of
fancy opera glasses like 8____ The path bridge is over the narrow part of
the 8 while the long stem is mostly hidden. Meadow point is the point at
the North end of the main beach (with the green buoy offshore.)
