Tweets,

I have had two or three brief visits by a likely immature RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD at my feeder this morning, taking turns with the two Anna's that are resident. I can't rule out Allen's, but on the basis of probabilities presume it's a Rufous. Smaller than the Anna's and a lighter green on the crown and back with quite bright rufous wash on the flanks and rump/tail base. Throat just lightly speckled. This is my first rare bird sighting in my own yard!
