Perhaps, if othing else, they can donate it to the Burke Museum at the UW? Doesn't make it themost visible necessarily, but would at least assure that the collection would be saved.

I received word that the Whatcom Museum of History and Art in Bellingham is looking for a home for their extensive collection of display mounts of northwest birds. There aren't many collections like this left anymore ( I think of Malheur) with any educational value. The museum director is Tom Livesey, 360-676-6981. They apparently have some concern about preservation materials used on these specimens. I know the staff would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Jack M.
