Hello All,
I am going to add my few cents worth to this important thread. We have been collecting/salvaging specimens for many years for the Conner Museum at WSU. I feel that these study skin collections are extremely important for many reasons. I would urge birders to take advantage of these collections and learn about bird plumage, molts and sizes. This will be a huge help while folks are out in the field. These collections are documents of change over time in bird populations and allow scientists the chance to compare and evaluate regional differences for one. Please support and utilize these collections. Our understanding of birds and their populations depend on it.
Later Mike
