Sounds like Steve wants to do a field guide using museum specimens! Dennis
Paulson has bird wing photos available at his Slater Museum website. Also
Kevin J. Zimmer's 1985 The Western Birdwatcher had specimen photos in it
but not his 2000 Birding in the American West. Maybe political correctness
has a role to play in the lack of use of museum specimens by birders?
