My Salt Creek records say we saw sandhill cranes on three days in
1997 (also the year we had over 100 brown pelicans - which never
happened again).

2 October: 40+ cranes seen from the Elwha Bridge just west of Port
Angeles at 1847 were flying SE in formation and calling

3 October: 26 flew into Crescent Bay (Salt Creek) at 1445

5 October: 52 flying over Salt Creek to the southeast at 1015

We also have never seen sandhills from Salt Creek since then.
