Someone in a class I taught asked me about mid-priced scopes. I don?t know
much about optics as I have only ever owned one scope and two good pairs of
bins.

He specifically asked me about a scope sold be Eagle optics called the
Raven; it?s a 77mm (or 80mm?) scope that comes with a 20-60x zoom eyepiece.
It sells with the eyepiece for $369 ($399 for the angled eyepiece).

Does anyone out there own one of these or perhaps one of you has used one?
Anyone have suggestions on comparably priced scopes you like? I?m thinking
he might do as well or better with one of the better known brands 60-65mm
scopes, but I lack any first-hand knowledge of them.

I did send him to the Better View Desired website for more info.
