My husband I took a drive out the spit in PA this morning looking for the
snowy owl but didn't see it.
But what we did see were 17 herons on the first log boom east of the mill.
I guess this is their wintering roost in cold weather. They were all
hunkered down trying to keep warm in the westerly that was blowing. We also
saw a bald eagle at the A frame.
