My customer believes she had TWO snowy owl sightings. She says her husband is a lineman, so he's always looking up at the lines & poles while on the road. Consequently, they spot a lot of birds other people miss.
Tuesday (12/13) early evening Kingston: Saw one flying east across Barber Cutoff Road between Gordon Elementary and Stillwaters in Kingston while in their car. Since it was at night, one wonders if she's mistaken a barn owl for a snowy.
Saturday 12/10 in Poulsbo: Saw one on a pole Saturday morning, then later in the afternoon. Probably sat there all day. Lincoln Road not far up the hill (north) from stoplight at 305, right where those new houses are being built on the right going up the hill. She got a really good look at this guy, definely was a male snowy owl. This is a pretty busy area, not an area where you would think to look up! She said she made kissy noises at it, but apparently the bird would not dignify such silliness with a reponse.
