Subject: [Tweeters] Jet Stream and Snowy Owls?

We have been under neutral El-Nino conditions for a while, which does
cycle, but not as regularly as every four years. However, there could
be a linked set of optimum conditions. What happens in the Yukon in
summer also has to affect what we see here in the winter. The
Christmas Bird Counts should also tell us what other birds may or may
not be in synchrony.

Furthermore, evidence indicates that cycles are reset by major
changes in the earth's weather. The exercise to determine if there is
a linkage could take a little time. Anyone who wants to look into it
further may wish to visit NOAA's Climate and Weather Linkage web
