Dear Larry,
As far as I know, the only report of a Eurasian
Collared Dove in Skagit County was of one bird last
summer. That bird turned up in early summer in
Corkindale, just west of Marblemount, and returned to
the location repeatedly over several weeks. It kept
coming to a feeder, and was seen several times by Jim
Alt. Other than the homeowners who told their neighbor
Jim about the bird, I don't think anyone besides Jim
and his girlfriend ever saw it, although I tried
several times to relocate it. Jim's description
sounded right on for ECDO.
Yours truly,
Gary Bletsch
