Subject: [Tweeters] Finch number, especially pine siskins on cbcs

There has been some talk on the dismal finch numbers this winter and most if
not all would agree that even a pine siskin has become a good sighting this
winter. On Sunday I finished my third and final of this cbc season, and NO
pine siskins were found on any of the counts (Cle elum, Ellensburg and
Toppenish). I certainly would be interested in hearing (and hopefully others
would be) on if any of the finch species in low numbers this year, i.e.
grosbeaks, pine siskin, etc.. were found on cbcs that people are either
compiling or participating in. I've personally been a bit surprised at
siskin numbers. From what I've seen this winter, to say low is an
understatement, I have yet to see a report of siskins within the month of
december from what I've seen. Has any cbc had them yet?

Thanks.
