The resourcefulness of tweeters never ceases to amaze me. Thanks to all of you for your responses, including great directions. My Houston friends and I had a great day on last Sat., a beautiful warm day. We went to Edmonds and found the snowy owl on the rock jetty behind P dock. It was a lifer for both of my friends. We also saw surf scoters, red-breasted mergansers, kingfisher, pigeon guillemots, red-throated loons, GBH, d-c cormorant, buffleheads and western grebes.

Next we went to West Seattle and got lifers of Barrow's goldeneye and surfbirds for one of my friends. No Brant geese were located. Watching the surfbirds and turnstones so closely was great. We all enjoyed the great views of the Seattle skyline. Our last stop was Tukwila where we ran into the Puget Sound meeting place for crows. There were 100s along the Duwamish River. As we stood there, a couple of Thayer's gulls came in for about 5 minutes. Good viewing for a lifer for both my friends.

An all-around good day with good birds.
