You probably already know that Pine Siskins are highly irruptive. I
just did some Googling and also learned that they often irrupt,
biennially and asynchronously; in other words, they irrupt into the
South one year, then into the East the next. So they must be in one of
those two places this year!

When we lived in Orting, our Pine Siskins were so tame and friendly that
we could pet them. I kid you not! (Yes, we probably shouldn't have,
but we were younger and even more foolish then ...)
