The vote is over in the Senate -- the defense bill was defeated
because it contained the ANWR drilling -- and it will now be removed
from the bill. This means the Refuge is safe, at least until next
year. Please send letters of thanks and support to Senator Murray
and, especially, Sen. Maria Cantwell, who LEAD the fight to save the
Refuge!
