Hi tweeters,

Today I birded Fort Flager State Park on Marrowstone Island in Jefferson County. Around midday at the Marrowstone Point Lighthouse I witnessed quite a flight of ANCIENT MURRELETS as 47 flew past in just half an hour. All but one of these birds were flying S entering Admiralty Inlet. I was excited when the first one flew by and amazed as they kept coming, especially in light of recent discussions of their low numbers this year.

At the sand spit at the NW corner of the park there was one WESTERN MEADOWLARK and one EARED GREBE.

Good birding,

Sam Terry
